There is no simple answer, for every trick requires specific skills. You need a little foresight and an impressive set of abilities, and you also need to be flexible as to what your end goal is – you never know, for example, the effect you’re gonna achieve with the trick you’re trying to pull, whether the audience is gonna enjoy it or not, and ultimately when you put it on screen the audience will have made the best of it.
The trick I’m about to show you will not be a quick fix or an easy trick to execute (in fact, it’s not even an illusion, since you’ll never get it exactly right), but it will offer an interesting and unusual magic trick, which many magicians can relate with.
You won’t be the first magician who’s tried this trick; in fact, when you actually play it, you will realise that there’s a lot more to this trick than you think.
When you get the hang of it you’ll be able to pull it off with ease, and to do so, you might just save an entire life or two during your quest.
I’m not claiming that what I’m about to reveal here will somehow work the same way for each of you, but hopefully you’ll learn something useful about the technique I’ve developed.
What is the “Bump” magic trick?
When you make your first “Bump”, you will be feeling an undeniable excitement that you’re about to perform a unique magic trick. You will know exactly what you’re about to do – you will be thinking – that was just amazing!
And that is the key step in learning how to do this type of trick. When you begin to get into it, you will realise that although it looks really good, it won’t work that well – that’s because your perception is way more complex than you would imagine, and it’s this process of getting into the mental state necessary to perform the trick that will ultimately make it happen.
In other words, you’ll need to work out the exact psychology behind “The Bump”, and it’s not going to be an easy process.
But once you get going, you soon learn how to manipulate your perception of this magic trick – to make it feel as good as it was when you first saw it.
What you’ll learn in this section is that “The Bump” involves a basic mental state called “excitation”. (See also this article
