Well, here’s how I explain it: the 1st quarter, we would first start with all our cards face down in front of us. Then we would raise our cards towards ourselves. If the cards are not raised, no cards get raised. When one of our cards comes face down to our chest and is facing towards a friend, we raise that card. If, however, the card we want to raise is facing away, we lift our cards from our chest and place them face down on a chair. Finally, we remove our cards and sit down, just as in the quarter trick.
So, is the quarter trick worth $5? Well, it is. For the same reason it is a trick, it is also a great way to earn some dough at a time by doing the trick.
Now, let’s say you have $5 laying around and would like to pay someone for the privilege of playing. What would you do? Well, what would you do is you would first sit down in a chair and ask your friend to play a game of poker. As you might expect at this level, you start out the game with cards face down. After you have won $4, you raise your cards and then move the cards to a deck of some cards. For my part, I would have $20 with which to make $5 playing poker. You have no idea if you will win or lose at poker, that’s all up to your luck. What do you do? Well, for starters, you play for the chance to play poker with someone. That’s a win-win situation. That’s the best way to start a game of poker.
The $5 half trick also is a great way to earn some dough at a time. So, there you have it. Do you know the quarter trick? Do you know how to do it in real life? Do you have a trick or two ready to try? Then, go ahead and make $5 playing one.
